I haven't abandoned the blog
Monty is loving his new job. I am loving my precepting, getting up at 3am bites the big one but I love working with the tiny babies in the newborn intensive care. I'm halfway done and it's going really well. I've learne a ton and got to see so many things. I think after going through nursing school I will probably be a very paranoid mom when I am pregnant. Anyway, this got really long. Sorry

More good news
So Monday we found out that Monty got the job. Tuesday we got more good news, I don't know if it's better news but it is pretty darn exciting. See this beautiful picture...it is our future home. We heard back from our agent on Tuesday and everything went through and we are actually building a house. It's kinda crazy but because of the poor economy the builder is offering insane incentives so it is going to be the same price to build as it would be to just buy. We are very excited and can't wait to get started. The sooner we get started the sooner we can shorten Monty's commute.
By the way, our new house is going to be in Syracuse which is just southwest of Layton and about about 20 minutes closer to Monty's new job.
This is basically what it will look like when we're all done. We'll get to pick the colors and the type of stonework so it won't look exactly like this but you get the idea.

Leaky Roof
So this is what we have been dealing with for the past several months. This is the corner of our bedroom. What you don't see is the water damage on every ceiling tile along the wall. You can sort of see the streaks running down the wall. The paint is cracking and the sheetrock tape is peeling up in the corner. Lots of fun. At least we have gotten used to sleeping through the sound of dripping water as our buckets catch a few of the leaks. A lot of the water is dripping down inside the wall so there is nothing we can do about it. At one point we had 4 buckets catching water. They have fixed our roof 3 times but the patches aren't taking and the whole roof just needs to be replaced. Our landlords know but we don't think they have any idea how bad it realy is.
The second picture is the view looking up in the corner. The sheetrock is gone for about a panel and a half and the support beam is split. I think we need to move before we die of mold poisoning because that corner just looks nasty.
Monty had his interview yesterday. It lasted over 2 hours and he thinks it went pretty well. He got a phone call today from the recruiting department asking him a question about his application so we think that is probably a good sign, at least they are still looking at him. He'll know the end of this week if he's going in for a second interview the beginning of next week and then hopefully they'll make a decision by the end of next week. We're still very hopeful. It would be great, a new job, better pay, less hours, and LEAVING OGDEN!!!
