An Interview!!

YEAH!! Monty has a job interview next week. We are so excited. It has been 6 months now that he has been actively looking for a new job and he has only been on 2 interviews. The first interview was in October and the last one was the very end of December. The one in October he got beat out by someone with many many years of experience and the one in December the position was eliminated before they even filled it. We are hoping and praying that this interview will go well. It is for an entry level financial analyst for an IHC based insurance company. The pay would be great and best of all we would get to move out of Ogden!! The interview isn't until a week from tomorrow (I guess really a week from today), so the next 2 weeks are going to be very very long. That is he he finds out within a week.
I had a nice exciting weekend. My mom came to visit and we went shopping, went to the movies, went to the temple, and all sorts of fun stuff. It was good to spend some time with her and Monty was such a trooper to let his mother-in-law come visit for 4 days. Thanks Hun!!

Things we miss about Logan

Yes this blog really is being posted at 3 in the morning, but it's okay, I'm at work. The nice thing about working nights is a fair amount of time the kids sleep. This leaves me time to do homework or whatever strikes my fancy. Right now about once a week I also have access to internet. I decided I'd use my spare time to see if I could post pictures. We have decided these past couple weeks that we really miss Logan. We really don't want to move back to Logan and I think a lot of it is we just hate Ogden. I figured I'd post a couple pictures of things we miss from Logan. First and foremost would have to be Aggie basketball. For anyone who has never been to an Aggie basketball game, it's quite the experience. We went to as many games as we could and yes we were part of the obnoxious student section.
Another thing we miss is the many canyons surrounding Logan. There were always great places to hike, camp, and even just go for a drive. Ogden has some decent hiking near by but we didn't get a chance to enjoy much of it last summer because I worked every weekend and Monty had weekends off.
One final note, if anyone knows of a company looking for a financial analyst that doesn't have to hae a lot of experience, let me know. We're willing wo go about anywhere!!

Really not so lazy

It doesn't matter the reason but when you sleep in until 2:30 it just seems lazy. In my case, lately I have felt lazy far more than not. 2:30pm is one of the earlier times I have gotten up lately. In my defense, I do work nights so it's not like I don't have a legitimate reason, but it still makes me feel lazy. Lately my schedule has been 2 nights on with one night off so pretty much every day of the week I'm either sleeping in because I worked the night before or I work that night. Hopefully one day I will have a job where I can work 36 hours a week instead of 40 and not feel so lazy because I sleep my days away. The good news is, while I work 6 of the next 7 nights, I have 4 nights off after that. Woo Hoo!!

Welcome to our blog!

Well, Monty finally convinced me that I needed to join the blogging world. This blog is going to be a work in progress but I'll figure it out eventually. I'm still convinced we have a rather boring life but that's okay. A little about us: Monty and I were married in the Salt Lake temple May 15, 2007. Right now we're living in Ogden so I can finish school. I'm working as an LPN and will graduate in May with my RN. Monty is working for Enterprise in their management training program and looking for a job he will enjoy more. We are greatly looking forward to the day we can leave Ogden. However we will miss our fabulous pent house apartment when we leave. It's not everyday you have an elevator open into your living room.
